Municipal Plan Review | Public Meeting

The Council of the Town of Rocky Harbour is undertaking a complete review of the Municipal Plan and Development Regulations (the “plans”). The last time a full review was done was ten years ago, resulting in the term of the existing plans being 2013 to 2023. The
existing plans stay in place until they are replaced by the new ones, but it is timely to do this now as some matters concerning development have changed significantly in the last ten years.
The Town has retained a planning consultant, who will be carrying out research on the opportunities and circumstances affecting development of the Town and hearing input from interested parties. The process will include ample opportunity for the public to ask for information and to ask questions.
The first step in the public consultation process is a presentation focused on the existing Municipal Plan and Development Regulations. It is important that everyone understand what we have now so that suggestions for improvement can be based on a factual beginning
point. That presentation will take place at:
Wednesday, 8 March, 2023 at 7 pm
At the Rocky Harbour Community Hall
24-26 Pioneer Lane
Rocky Harbour, NL
The Municipal Plan and Development Regulations for the period 2013-2023 are available at the Town office for viewing and can also be viewed on-line at www.rockyharbour.ca
As the process continues to bring forward the suggested new plans, a further presentation will be made.

Town Clerk-Manager
